Form XX: Flash Arm
上体稍向右转,左脚向前迈出,屈膝前顶成左弓步;同时右手由体前 上提,屈臂上举至右额前上方,掌心翻转斜向上,拇指斜向下;左手向上提 至右手内侧,手心向右,然后经胸前向前推出,高于鼻尖平,手心向前;目 视左手(图 4-1-151.4-1-152.4-1-153)0
Turn your torso to the right slightly, and take a step forward with your left foot to form a left bow stance. At the same time, raise your right hand with your elbow bent to be above and in front of your right forehead, palm turned upward obliquely, while thumb pointing downward obliquely. Lift the left hand to the inner side of the right hand, palm facing rightward, and then push forward pass the chest at nose level, palm facing forward. Look at your left hand (fig. 4-1-151, 4-1-152, 4-1-153).
动作要点:
(1)上体要自然正直,松腰、松髓。
(2)左臂不要完全伸直,背部肌肉要伸展开。
(3) 推掌、举掌和弓步要协调一致。

实战作用:
当对方以左掌劈砍我头部时,我用右手向前上方挑架其前臂,同时上 左步用左掌击其胸部。
Functions in fighting:
When the opponent chops your head with his left hand, you can raise and block his forearm with your right hand. At the same time, you might step forward with your left foot, and hit his chest with your left palm.
易犯错误:
左臂前伸过直。
Common errors:
The left arm is too straight when being extended forward.
更正方法:
(1)有意识地沉肩、坠肘、塌腕,使左臂形成一定的弯曲度。
(2)头脑中要有左臂须和右臂以及后背三者一起形成一个弧形扇面 的意识(实际上“闪通臂”又叫“扇通臂”,这个名称更有利于促进练习者 的正确动作定型)。
Corrective measures:
(1) Curve the left arm into a certain angle by lowering the shoulders, drop the elbows, and sink down the wrists consciously.
